ALLEN STONE
Soul singer Allen Stone should really be at the top of a bill where the headliner is O.A.R., if we’re ranking the performers by talent alone. His music harkens back to the Motown era without sounding dated or like a copy. Stone’s vocals are the focus here, more than the music, though his range would overshadow just about any backdrop. His third album, Radius, was released in May. (Jeff Hahne)
