Fronted by Rhett Miller, barstool laureate of the reckless and the wrecked, Old 97s have been cranking out countrified punk ‘n roll since 1993. With staggering bravado, Miller guys his own inebriated image, as well as the emotional wreckage of the rock ‘n roll lifestyle, with laser sharp, off-color acuity over Honky Tonk rhythms and twanging leathery licks.
