Opera Carolina’s season finale is a double-bill, featuring Ruggero Leoncavallo’s Pagliacci, as well as the U.S. premiere of Sergei Rachmaninoff’s first opera, Aleko. Both operas — tragic stories fueled with passion, jealousy and revenge — are directed by Michael Capasso, director for New York City Opera. Be on the look out for tenor Jeff Gwaltney, a Rock Hill native making his debut with Opera Carolina.
