Painting Still Life

The workshop will consist of lectures, demonstrations, individual consultation at the student’s easel, and group critiques. A five stage methodology will allow the students to check their work along the way. We will cover topics such as: setting up an attractive still life, good composition, value patterns, capturing the light, paint application, and finishing a painting. Students of all levels will bring their own still life props (fruit, flowers, etc.) to paint from.
