Painting the Figure in Oil: A Workshop with Osiris Rain

This workshop will focus on capturing the figure in oil. Working from the live model, this workshop will focus on building the painting from a charcoal
under sketch into a more refined painting. We will focus on using charcoal to achieve an accurate under-drawing, covering proportion, line strength, and gesture to
create the foundation for an emotive painting. From this foundation of drawing we will continue on to painting the figure, where we will focus on values, color
harmony, color mixing, and refinement of edges to create a final piece.
