Panel Discussion marking the 150th Anniversary of the Emancipation

Marking the 150th anniversary of the Emancipation, a panel discussion will take place in the 2nd floor auditorium. The discussion will focus on the Proclamation, its constitutionality and legacy, and the 13th Amendment. Panelists include Dr. David Goldfield, a history professor at UNCC; Dr. Cheryl Hicks, an associate professor at UNCC; and Dr. Scott Broyles, an assistant professor at Charlotte School of Law. Presented by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Community Relations Committee and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Public Library.
