Personally Speaking: Thomas Wolfe and Lost Children in Southern Literature

North Carolina favored literary son Thomas Wolfe published The Lost Boy in 1937. Even today, its theme of lost children permeates much of Southern literature. Personally Speaking on Nov. 14 will trace the connections between The Lost Boy and contemporary Southern novels and will tell “the story behind the story.” A book signing and reception will follow the presentation. Parking information will be sent a few days before the event to those who register. Registration is required.
