The Arts at Queens presents pianist Karl Larson, a faculty member at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music. This program evokes the unique beauty of Venice, drawing connections between music from the past to the present. The concert includes works by Venetian Renaissance master Claudio Merulo, Liszt's romantic evocation of Venetian boat songs, Ravel's coloristic expression of a ship at sea, and Salvatorre Sciarrino's 20th century representation of a fragile maritime city.
