Real Talk on the Health of the Black American Male

The UNC-Charlotte College of Liberal Arts & Science’s Center for the Study of the New South hosts a community conversation exploring “What the Health of the Black American Male Means to the Entire Community.” This “Real Talk” is one of a series designed to explore unique challenges faced by the black American male – a man who, in many cases, still searches for his authentic self in a society within which he continues to be misunderstood, misinterpreted and misrepresented. The conversation, open to the public without charge, begins at 6:30 p.m. Monday, January 19, 2015, at UNC-Charlotte’s Center City.
