Ciel Gallery isn’t going away, it’s just changing. The gallery, which opened its doors in 2008, is taking the emphasis off of mosaics and broadening its focus to include works of all types of mediums as it becomes an art collective. To celebrate the change (which includes a name change — Ciel Gallery & Mosiac Studio becomes Ciel Gallery: A Fine Art Collective), the folks at CG are throwing an opening reception for the suitably titled Regeneration exhibit. Regeneration, taking place during SouthEnd Gallery Crawl, will feature paintings, sculpture, encaustic works, jewelry, photography, mosaics and ceramics. Participating local artists include Tina Alberni, Tim Shaeffer, Teresa Hollmeyer, Amy Hart, Chris Craft, Cindi Spillman, Elyse Frederick, Rebecca Haworth, Laura McRae Hitchcock, Claudia Soria, Pam Goode and more.
