In the Black Crowes, guitarist Rich Robinson played leathery, riffing Richards to brother Chris’ swaggering Jagger. Though he co-wrote most of the Crowes’ canon, it wasn’t until his current solo LP that Robinson the tunesmith blossomed. On The Ceaseless Sight, Robinson grounds his spiritual outlook with knotty electric blues and cosmic country that shimmers like heat waves on the highway. (Michael Walsh)
