Screening: The American South As We Know It CL Recommends

When: Tue., Aug. 28, 6-8 p.m. 2018
Phone: 704-547-3700
Price: $5 general admission, free for members
To many, August 28 is like any other day. But it carries certain implications for America’s black community. It’s the day Emmett Till was murdered, 250,000 people marched on Washington and Barack Obama accepted the Democratic nomination for president. Commemorate it with a screening of a documentary that explores the lives and experiences of African-Americans during the Jim Crow Era.
