Seth Avett (The Avett Brothers) and Jessica Lea Mayfield bonded over a love of Elliott Smith’s music, so it’s only fitting that they would record an entire album of the late singer’s songs as tribute. The duo’s hitting the road for 13 shows, starting right here in Charlotte. Along with plenty of Smith’s music, you can expect some of their own material to make it into the set, as well. (Jeff Hahne)
