Out of all Carolina Voices’ seasonal shows, there’s one annual performance that we all have come to expect — and that, if you really need me to say it, is The Singing Christmas Tree. The holiday shebang of carolers, who sit in a tree-like construction, has been around for what seems like eternity. The thing you might not know about Carolina Voices is that it has a new annual show that’s Halloween-themed. Yes, it’s still family-friendly, but Voices’ Impromptu singers have packed Year Two of the show with seasonal songs — think: “I Put a Spell on You.” There will also be an illusionist (Thomas Clark). Scary or not, it’s an interesting way to start the season. And who wouldn’t want to see folks dressed as fiends singing a cappella? For more information, visit www.carolinavoices.org.
