SOUTHERN CULTURE ON THE SKIDS
Hard to believe this Chapel Hill trio has been at it for more than 30 years. What is “it”? Well, they’ll call it “toe-suckin’ geek rock,” but it’s a blend of country-fried rock, rockabilly and psychedelic music with some surf overtones. Get ready to dance, and you might just end up eating some banana puddin’ and fried chicken in the process. It all makes for one hell of a party. (Jeff Hahne)
