Join Meltonia Young on an odyssey that is part art exhibition, part history and part decoding secrets in the quilt patches synonymous with the Underground Railroad. Examine why slaves traveled it, the role of the Quakers, and the heroic individuals who helped. This project is made possible by a grant from the North Carolina Humanities Council, a statewide nonprofit and affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
