Sustain Charlotte's Grow Smart CLT: Transportation

When: Wed., April 11, 6 p.m. 2018
Price: $0-$5
As Charlotte grows (44 people move here each day), it's critical that we grow smarter. To help, Sustain Charlotte launched a new monthly event series called Grow Smart CLT! Join us for our April event, where our panelists will tackle the issue of smart growth and transportation! These fun yet informative events will dive into the multiple sustainability challenges that Charlotte faces due to our rapid growth. Our goal is to ensure that you not only walk away with a better understanding of the challenge but also at least one action you can take to help put Charlotte on a smarter path. TOPIC: Transportation choices like walking, bicycling, and public transit support development and economic growth, protect our environment, and allow residents to reach their jobs and daily destinations without having to own a car. Join us for an expert panel as we explore sustainable ways of keeping Charlotte moving! FEATURED PANELISTS: Liz Babson, Director of the Charlotte Department of Transportation John Lewis, CEO of the Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) Greg Phipps, Charlotte City Council Stephen Stansbery, Vice President of Kimley-Horn The panel will be moderated by Sustain Charlotte's executive director, Shannon Binns.
