Temple Beth El Inclusion Shabbat: "Being 'Out' As a Straight Ally in the Bible Belt"

Temple Beth El welcomes the greater Charlotte community to its annual Inclusion Shabbat. Temple Beth El’s LGBT advocacy group, the Keshet Comittee ("Keshet" is Hebrew for Rainbow), sponsors this event to raise awareness and strengthen the bonds between our diverse congregants and community members. Krista Tillman, a leader in our community with Novant Health, Queens University, and formerly Bell South, will address “ Being ‘Out’ As a Straight Ally in the Bible Belt” as well as share her thoughts on advocacy and changing hearts and minds regarding human rights and LGBT issues, including the economic importance of inclusion. www.beth-el.com
