Cellist Tanja Bechtler is founder and director of the Bechtler Ensemble Music Series, which offers performances that connect the historical and creative contents of music pieces to selected works of modern art from the Bechtler Museum. Bechtler has been an orchestral player with the Charlotte Sympthony Orchestra and has performed professionally at Lincoln Center and the Spoleto Festival. Her CDs include "Shadegrown," featuring her guitarist husband Bob Teixeira, who teaches at Queens.
