Jazz guitarist Charlie Hunter got his start with the early-’90s political hip-hop outfit Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy, but moved on to cover the likes of Monk and Rahsaan Roland Kirk in the Charlie Hunter Trio. This month, Hunter will release Mexican singer-songwriter Silvana Estrada’s terrific debut album on his 30Amp Circuit label, and Estrada had planned to bring Estrada with him on his tour, but Drumpf policies made it impossible for her to get a work visa. One more reason to impeach the son of a bitch.
