The Classic Black Cinema Series - White Man's Burden

When: Sun., April 9, 2-4 p.m. 2017
Phone: 704-547-3700

In alternative America, blacks are social elite and whites are inhabitants of ghettos. A white worker in a factory is mistaken for a voyeur and loses his job, gets beaten by black cops and his family gets evicted from their home. Desperate Pinnock, played by John Travolta, kidnaps the black CEO and demands justice. A film series specifically designed as a vehicle to expose the community to the vast artistic value black film has had throughout the years. The goal is to appeal to as diverse a population as possible and further the appreciation of Black cinema.
