The Found Footage Festival CL Recommends

When: Fri., Jan. 31, 8 p.m. 2014
Price: $12
The Found Footage Festival is by far one of the most hilarious touring fests out there. The creators, Joe Pickett and Nick Prueher, sort and gather old VHS tapes to find absurd videos and commercials. Then they use snarky commentary and journalistic follow-ups (a “where are they now” sort of concept) on the vids. The far-out selections on this year’s roster include 1997’s “How to Have Cybersex on the Internet,” a compilation of 101 Jesus clips from dozens of religious videos (presented in under three minutes), and 1996’s “Facercize,” a hilarious vid that outlines how to tighten and tone the cheeks ... of the face.
