The Jazz Room
This edition of the monthly Jazz Room held at the Stage Door Theater will feature trumpeter Brandon Lee paying tribute to the legendary Dizzy Gillespie. Gillespie, known for his bulging cheeks when he played, is often considered one of the great trumpeters. The Cheraw, South Carolina, born musician contributed immensely to bebop and modern jazz, influencing many who came after him, including Miles Davis. (Jeff Hahne)
