JazzArts Charlotte’s virtual series presents the funky hypnotic sounds of Cannoli. Malcolm Charles, a frequent jazz drummer in the JAZZ ROOM, brings his breadth of artistry to this trio, in the role of leader, keys, and vocalist. Cannoli’s sound is influenced by the funk of Parliament-Funkadelic, the electric Herbie Hancock, and J Dilla hip hop.
