Theater: Doggone it!

Saturday, Feb. 23

Queen City Theatre Company presents Bert V. Royal's unauthorized continuation of the Peanuts story starring everyone's favorite blockhead, Charlie Brown. It's been 10 years since CB and the gang were playing baseball together in the neighborhood. Dog Sees God is a darker tale inhabited by a philosophy-spouting pothead, mean girls, a visit to a mental institution, and sexual ambiguity. CL's Perry Tannenbaum thinks if you miss this last show, "You're missing out on one of the best shows of the season." 8 p.m. $20/$15. Duke Power Theatre, Spirit Square, 345 N. Tryon St. 704-372-1000.
