The documentary by filmmaker Thomas Allen Harris investigates images taken by black photographers, past and present. The images, having been used to document historical events, reflect on the challenges that Africa-Americans have faced in a quest for independence and equality. A variety of photographers, including Dr. Deborah Willis — author of Reflections in Black — share their perspectives on how the camera can influence change. Following the screening, Willis will also lead a discussion with Harris. (Anita Overcash)
