Underexposed Film Festival

When: Nov. 14-16 2013
Price: $6 for individual tickets; $50 for VIP festival pass; $20 for VIP party
Arts Council of York County has collected a diverse bunch of shorts from around the world to screen at this three-day festival, ranging from animation, narratives and documentaries to the experimental. Among them is Imagine, a narrative that stars Scott Wolf as a paramedic plagued with guilt after he is unable to save his daughter’s life; Cold Turkey, an Icelandic film about a teenage boy with cannibalistic urges; Garbage Girl in Daily Consumption, a documentation of one girl’s waste as she wears her trash rather than throwing it away throughout the day; and Yellow Fever, a U.K./Kenya-produced film that examines African women’s self image. Many more on the roster. For details, visit www.yorkcountyarts.org and click on Underexposed Film Festival.
