Some folks say “beauty is pain,” and if you’ve ever walked a mile in high heels you’ll understand that expression. However, this temporary pain is nothing compared to the rape, sexual assault and domestic violence that so many women face. Walk A Mile in Her Shoes invites men and women to walk a literal mile in heels, all to raise money for local domestic violence organization Safe Alliance. It’s a playful way to shine light on a serious topic that is not talked about enough.
