Widespread Panic
NYE with Widespread Panic might sound familiar to Charlotte residents. They’ve done this before — in 2011 and 2012. On Dec. 30, the band will perform a sold-out benefit show for Toys for Tots at the Fillmore followed by a concert at the Uptown arena the following night. Active since 1986, Widespread Panic has a devoted following thanks to their rock-infused jam band style. In 2012, the band played three sets and an extended encore. (Jeff Hahne)
