Gone Viral: Police have begun investigating an incident after a video of it showed up on the Internet. The video shows a woman dressing down another woman in more ways than one. The suspect was upset that the victim allegedly slept with her boyfriend and then left the suspect’s home in her clothes. In the video, the suspect finds the victim at a light-rail station and begins to threaten her. She then makes the victim remove all of her clothes, except her bra and underwear. The suspect leaves with the clothes that belong to her, even the flip-flops.
Train Wreck: Police showed up at a 28-year-old woman’s hospital room last week after she told doctors she had been assaulted. The victim told officers that she was at a party when a group of women told her she needed to leave. As she was leaving, one of the women attacked her with a railroad spike that she was conveniently carrying. The victim checked into the hospital after suffering several deep cuts to her hand and both feet.
Trail of Tears: A man got in touch with police after surviving terrifying walk in southwest Charlotte. The man was walking down the street with a woman when she began hitting him with a giant purse. She also tried to push the man into oncoming traffic. The man told officers that the woman took the attack to another level when she grabbed a hammer — the report doesn’t specify where from — and began swinging it at him. Finally, the woman threw a flower planter at the man, but missed.
Lightweight: A woman was arrested at Charlotte Douglas International Airport last week after she became unruly after just a couple of drinks. Police responded to the Fox Sports Bar after getting reports of an intoxicated person. The woman reportedly told officers she was “not going to pay the fucking bill,” which was $31.37. She was arrested.
Chef Boy-Ar-Eek: Police responded to an east Charlotte home last week after a woman called 911 saying that her husband was smoking crack and acting dangerously. She told officers that her husband had been swinging a knife at her. When police arrived at the scene, the man told them that he was simply cooking. He said that when he grabbed the knife to cut some chicken, his wife and kids became convinced he was smoking crack instead, so they jumped on him and held him down. Police reported that they found no evidence of anyone cutting chicken and arrested the man.
Blotter items are chosen from the files of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
