Last night AIDS Walk Charlotte hosted the Bar Wars event at Alley Cat. Celebrity judges Otis from Kiss 95.1, Charlotte Observer writer Sarah Aarthun, drag diva Roxy C. Moorecox and our own Brittney Cason judged the tastiest cocktail concoction.
Proceeds from Bar Wars benefits AIDS Walk Charlotte and all the money stays right here in the Charlotte area to help those living with HIV/AIDS in our community.

The Charlotte Roller Girls, the Queen Citys only all-female, flat track roller derby league, had a bout against the Richmond-based River City Rollergirls at the Grady Cole Center on Saturday, April 18. The CRGs fell short of a win in this close match.
The next home bout for the Charlotte Roller Girls is on May 17 when they take on the Columbia (SC) Quad Squad. Tickets are on sale now at www.charlotterollergirls.com.
