Prejean didn't like Playboy offer

Posted By on Thu, Jun 11, 2009 at 3:26 PM

Her pageant day gaffe wasn't enough to get her canned, but participating in the media parade with anti-gay marriage advocates -- while ignoring her duties as Miss California -- didn't sit well with The Donald.

Now Carrie Prejean says she's "shocked" she was fired. She also says pageant officials were pushing a Playboy spread and reality TV offers. They say they were just passing along offers. (Really, are either of those offers shocking?)

She says she was fired because of her political beliefs, but -- we all know -- Donald Trump could give a crap about what rattles around in the air space between her ears; he just wants her to fulfill her contract. It's just business, baby.

We just got off the phone with deposed Miss California USA Carrie Prejean -- and she says the pageant was trying to whore her out to Playboy.

Prejean claims pageant honcho Keith Lewis actually asked her last month if she would take two gigs -- appearing on "I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here!" and Playboy. Prejean says Lewis told her Playboy offered $140,000 for her to pose semi-nude. She rejected both offers.

A few minutes ago we talked to Lewis who said he was not pushing her to take either gig -- but merely passing the offers along. Lewis said Prejean had insisted they not turn anything down without running it by her.

Read more from TMZ.

Ultimately, all that will happen is that Miss No-Gay-Marriage will be a Conservative super star ... until they realize no one's listening to her, either, and they pick a new super star to sacrifice.
