Because, apparently, they can't seem to find anything better to do (guess they never leave their offices and/or mingle with voters), our state representatives in the North Carolina Assembly passed a bill yesterday, 66-50, that will tangle our state up in a bullshit fight that will waste time and tax payer's money. Way to go, jerks!

When you're done measuring each others dicks, try focusing on some issues that will actually matter to your constituents, like our schools; they're spiraling down the toilet in some areas and could use your help. Though, I suppose if you keep the next few generations ignorant it will be easier for you all to continue goofing off in the state house, shining your political careers with bullshit while pretending to work.

Listen, stop playing with your egos and get busy. No one but you cares about your political career, though I guarantee you your constituents care whether or not they can take their sick children to the doctor, if they'll learn anything in school today and whether or not they'll have a park or library to visit this afternoon.

Prioritize. Focus on the people, not your reflection in the mirror. Get to work. Now.

From the Raleigh News and Observer:

The bill would also exempt North Carolinians from having to buy health care insurance or else face penalties, a mandate in the health care reform law.

Democrats said the effort was mostly meaningless because federal courts are already addressing the health care bill.
