Leogun playing Double Door Inn tonight (3/29/13)

Leogun

Strolling around on the stage with a bit of swagger, a heap of garage-band flailing and plenty of fluid riffage, the London-based trio with a classic set-up of guitar, bass and drums lays down a randy stack of tunes. Leogun's guitar-slinging frontman and vocalist Tommy Smith's got the emotive wail down and is clearly a rock star in the making, while all three blokes twirl a mix of blues, soulful crooning and plenty of amped rock 'n' roll. Their first single "Let's Be Friends" has one of the sweetest riffs to hit the lands of rock in a while. It instantly embeds in the noggin and compels the rest of the body to party along. Also on the bill are Tyler Bryant & the Shakedown and the Black Cadillacs. $10-$12. March 29, 10 p.m. Double Door Inn, 1218 Charlottetowne Ave. 704-376-1446.
