Titus Andronicus

Between the erudite highbrows, regality and heady discussions typical of attending Shakespearean plays, it’s nice to have an occasional departure from tradition that favors common folk. Held in the divey Snug Harbor, Citizens of the Universe’s production of Titus Andronicus is that much needed refreshment. Anytime a play is advertised as a “bloody tale of rape, severed limbs, and pie,” on top of being held in such a strikingly untraditional venue, patrons can know that they’ll be getting a decisively different take on Bard — one that just happens to fit snugly into the eclecticism of Plaza Midwood. Due to the nature of the play, however, it’s not the best idea to bring kids — only those 15 and up will be allowed. For more information, visit www.citizensoftheuniverse.org
