If you never had the honor of attending Truman Capotes 1966 masquerade ball and let's face it, how many of us really have? then the Black and White Gala, brought to you by the Young Affiliates of the Mint, is the next best thing. The night of Nov. 12 promises to be an elegant soiree that even the famed author would be proud of. Feast your eyes on heavy hors doeuvres and cocktails and indulge yourself with lavish gifts in the silent auction. His larger-than-life work, planned for installment in the Mint, will take the shape of a large-scale, eye-catching bamboo creation. It's sure to be a roaring good time.
