Hot time in the Queen City

Posted By on Wed, Apr 29, 2009 at 3:48 PM

Summer isn't even here yet and it's boiling outside. If you're anything like me, you're trying to conserve energy costs and you haven't turned on your AC.

Neither has my neighbor. He keeps his windows open at night. And last night I wish he'd closed them.

Around 3 a.m. a chorus of "oh fuck me harder, harder," woke me up. I had my windows opened too. At first, I thought he was watching a porno with the volume up really loud until I heard his voice.

While I will admit that normally, I don't listen to other people's screams of passion, I was curious. So, I tipped out of my bed and went outside to check out what was going on. Thank goodness for darkness and a broken light in the parking lot of the complex.

When I got a good look at what was going on upstairs, I understood why I could hear everything so well. My neighbor had his partner pressed against the screen in a position that I've never seen before. She had one leg on his shoulder, the other wrapped around his waist while he was on his knees holding on to the window sill. Her face was against the screen, turned sideways.

I can only imagine the imprint that was left on her face when it was all over. It's amazing that the damned screen didn't fall out. After about five minutes of watching them, I felt bad about watching them. At least for free anyway. Here's hoping he'll start to use the AC and close the window soon.

Who pays? Go dutch, run out or make him pay?

Posted By on Tue, Apr 28, 2009 at 1:47 PM

After reading an article about going dutch on the Frisky, it got me thinking about dating and gender roles. Women, we have ourselves to blame. Howman magazine articles tell us to ask a man out, buy him a drink and make the first move.

We've become the hunters, then we complain when the check comes and he doesn't make a move for his wallet. If you asked him out, then you should expect to pay. End of discussion.

If you two were set up by a friend, said friend should've armed you both with gift cards or cash.

If your mama is so set on you getting married and giving her grandkids, she needs to hand over the credit card for dinner and a trip to Adam and Eve.

Dating isn't hard, we make it difficult because we over think everything.

They say a movie date is not a good first date

Posted By on Tue, Apr 28, 2009 at 10:33 AM

movie_theatre-300x213.webp

Over the years, dating experts and daters have said going to the movies on a first date isn't a good thing to do. And that's true if you go to a picture on opening weekend. It's going to be crowded and people around you will frown on you and your date talking (or doing something else) during the movie.

But you can make a movie date work for you. First, make sure the person you're dating isn't a movie buff. Dating someone who thinks silence is really golden at the cineplex will ruin the fun.

Next, pick a movie that everyone has already watched or a film that no one wants to see. You and your date will more than likely be alone in the dark. Popcorn is optional. If the movie theater is empty, take a seat at the top of the theater. Then you can talk, kiss, stroke or do whatever without worry that you'll get caught. Of course this only works in stadium seating.

You may not remember what movie you and your date saw, but will get a chance to act like a kid again and what can be better than that?

And if you want to save money, go to the movies during the day then hit up a park afterwards to continue the conversation or whatever.

Make Monday night date night

Posted By on Mon, Apr 27, 2009 at 1:27 PM

Until football season starts, there is not much to do. Or is there?

Try a picnic in one of Charlotte's many parks. If you don't want to cook, try one of the daily specials at Boudreauxs.

If you don't want to sit outside and fight pollen, maybe you want head into a restaurant and make goo-goo eyes at your date over drinks. For $9.99, you can take a date to Macaroni Grill for a Mediterranean chicken grill. The location in University City offers a secluded feeling that will surely jumpstart the passion.

If you want to stay at home and cook dinner, check out the fresh fruits and veggies at the farmer's markets around town. Don't forget the seafood, oysters to kick up the sexual heat. There are a number of seafood markets in east Charlotte, along Central Avenue.

Monday can be a great date night, with or without football on TV.

Love hangover

Posted By on Mon, Apr 27, 2009 at 10:22 AM

When is the last time anyone felt like this song?

With all of the tantric and kama sutra sex going on these days, when is the last time two people just made love until the night bled into the day and lovers were left with an uncontrolable urge to wallow in each other's juices? Just happy to have a love hangover?

When a hard-on goes bad

Posted By on Fri, Apr 24, 2009 at 12:01 PM

They say a hard man is good to find.

Last night, that slogan was proven to be wrong, according to my lovelorn friend she and her man ran into the problem last night of his body being ready, but his just couldn't perform.

She said he's had a long week at work and they'd gone out to dinner. She could tell that he was tired, but she was horny. And they'd had tired sex before. Not last night.

They kissed, but she could tell he wanted to yawn. She felt that sweet throbbing between her thighs when he pressed against her and she reached inside his pants, stroking his hard dick.

By the time they'd gotten naked and into bed, her man was only good for a few pumps and then he was knocked out. But his dick was still hard. No matter what she tried, she couldn't wake him up.

It was about 2 a.m. before she noticed that he'd gone soft. All she could think was, what a waste.
