One of three tracks on this relatively new Charlotte quintet’s Bandcamp page is a cover of Buffalo Springfield’s “Mr. Soul.” That should give at least a bit of a hint where this band’s mindset is. Its fuzzed-out psychedelic rock comes across as far more mature and “together” than what you’d expect from a band that formed in January. Sure, two of the three demos posted online are covers (the other is by Sun Ra), but the original, “Ghost Town,” shows plenty of promise. (Jeff Hahne)
