The Charlotte Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota, an international music fraternity for women, partners with The Arts at Queens to present “A Concert of American Music.” Featured on this program is the premiere performance of “Penumbra,” a chamber piece by Queens student Nate Galliher ’18. The work was commissioned by Sigma Alpha Iota after winning first prize in its first annual composition competition for Queens students. Performers will include members of Sigma Alpha Iota in a variety of solo and ensemble pieces.
