QUEEN'S COLLEGE RECITAL October 13, to feature Reinmar Seidler on cello and Eugene Barban on piano. Program includes works from composers such as Manuel Maria Ponce, Alexander Tcherepnin, and Ludwig van Beethoven. UNC-CHARLOTTE JAZZ ENSEMBLES will perform at 8pm on October 11 in Rowe Recital Hall on the campus of UNCC. They will present works in a number of styles including hip-hop, swing, Latin and Dixieland. Following the large ensemble, two smaller jazz combos will perform work highlighting the careers of several songwriters including Johnny Mercer, Jerome Kern, John Coltrane, and Freddie Hubbard.
