Park Road Books will host a special presentation and book-signing event for celebrated architect Frank Harmon and his new book ‘Native Places: Drawing as a Way to See.’ Published by ORO Editions, the book is a collection of 64 of Harmon’s watercolor sketches of everyday objects and ordinary places as well as architectural details and elements of nature. The sketches, some 30 or more years old, are paired with 200-word essays they’ve inspired. The sketches convey the delight he finds in “native places.” The short essays offer his fresh interpretations of what most people take for granted.
