Baby Baby, Bless These Sounds Under The City
Atlanta “fun-rock” quartet Baby Baby is a product of its environment. In a city where a drunk, irreverent hard-rock scene exists at close remove from a still-going-strong club-rap culture, singer Fontez Brooks and his cohorts have tossed both sensibilities into a melting pot, with a dose of bike-riding Cabbagetown hipsterism for good measure. The result is mostly silly, pop-punk fare that extols the virtues of partying, exhorts listeners to dance and generally serves the purpose, as so many bands have done before, of getting you up off your ass.
