"Joanne Spataro. I just love her voice and her message of equality I love that she asks the best questions to some of the most important people of Charlotte."

* Best Display Of Public Art

"The new Wall Poem of Charlotte piece ["Bus Stop," by Donald Justice] on the corner of 7th and Brevard Streets. The poem is beautiful and I love that they put a poem on that building which was void for some long. I love that they've done art around the city already, but I absolutely love that they've put that there. The poem is just gorgeous, too. It's really poignant. It talks about people getting off the bus and their umbrellas and black flowers. It's really cool."

* Best sushi

"I am an old school Rusan's fan. I've been eating at Rusan's since 2003 and I will always vote them for best sushi. They are my favorite and I love the atmosphere."

* Best New Store

"Cltch, no doubt. I'm such a big fan of Scott Weaver. I recently won three awards at the Carolina Arts D.A.R.E. Awards and one of them was for fashion and I absolutely dedicated that to Scott Weaver. He's openeda new store called Cltch in Plaza Midwood and it's absolutely worth your time to drop in. He has local creators of jewelry and accessories and I love the place."
