Branch Properties Acquires Site for Publix Super Markets-Anchored Shopping Center in Fayetteville, NC

The 17-acre development will deliver next year with 27,850 square feet of additional retail space
FAYETTEVILL, NC - June 17, 2024 - Atlanta-based real estate investment and development firm Branch Properties announced today that it has acquired 16.7 acres of land in Fayetteville, North Carolina in partnership with Columbia Properties for the development of Rockfish Village, an upcoming Publix Super Markets-anchored shopping center. The 76,237-square-foot center, which is set to break ground early next year, is slated for completion in Q4 2025.

The grocery-anchored development will be located at the signalized intersection of Rockfish Road and King Road. Rockfish Village will include a 48,387-square-foot Publix Super Market and 27,850 square feet of inline retail space for restaurants, service providers and retailers. The property will also include 2.4 acres of outparcels.

“Fayetteville’s growing population and robust retail performance positions it well for this upcoming grocery-anchored development,” said Jesse Shannon, President & CIO at Branch. “Rockfish Village will bring a selection of service retailers along with essential shopping and dining. We look forward to building this project with Columbia Properties and will continue to make future milestone announcements as construction begins.”

Rockfish Village is located within two miles of the I-295 beltway expansion connecting to I-95 slated for completion in the next two years. The population of Fayetteville has increased 72% between 2000 and 2020. The development sits 10 miles from Fort Liberty, one of the largest military bases in the world serving over 52,000 active personnel.

In addition to Rockfish Village, Branch is also developing five other Publix-anchored shopping centers across the Southeast including Triple Crown Shopping Center in Richwood, Kentucky (Northern Kentucky/Cincinnati suburb), Braselton Village in Braselton, Georgia, One Nexton in Summerville, South Carolina (Charleston suburb), Limestone Marketplace in Gainesville, Georgia and recently completed Summerhill Station in Atlanta, Georgia.
