Charlotte Dragon Boat Festival

In it's 10th year, this annual festival has a way of bringing a crowd out to Lake Norman. Pack a blanket and find a shady spot for watching teams in traditional Chinese boats paddle it out to the finish line. There are plenty of other things going on to celebrate Asian culture (including displays, beauty pageants, music, dance and food) during the fest, but the real action is out on the water.
