English Department Reading Series

Queens faculty members Sarah Creech and Julie Funderburk read fiction and poetry. Creech reads from her debut novel "Season of the Dragonflies," a story of flowers, perfume, sisters and practical magic set in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Publishers Weekly calls the book "charming and suspenseful...a memorable first novel." Funderburk reads from her chapbook collection of poetry "Thoughts to Fold into Birds." Her work appears in the Ploughshares and Best New Poets.
