EXHIBIT: Fluxomat

What is Fluxomat? "It's art in action. It's a concept. It's a game." Creator Jacqueline Heer explained that each month a different artist will bring objects (like the pictured "Amelia Earhart's Dream") of their choosing to the space (currently at Slate, but future locations may vary). Pieces in the exhibit will be sold at a higher starting cost, which will decrease in price ($10 less, to be exact) each day. At the end of the month, unsold pieces will be sold for $1. (Yes, I said $1!)

Tuesday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; Sundays, 1 p.m.-4 p.m. Slate, 1401 Central Ave. 704-995-3877.
