For her latest children’s book, Cinders: A Chicken Cinderella, author and illustrator Jan Brett was inspired by her very own colorful flock of fancy chickens and a lot of travel. Brett explored urban and rural areas of Russia for the book’s setting, a wonderland of snowy, architecturally stunning scenes that are fit for a fairy tale. Currently on a national book tour, she stops in at Park Road Books for a discussion and signing. (Anita Overcash)
