Jazz saxophonist Jimmy Greene shares the heartbreak of losing his daughter in the Sandy Hook school shooting, and the healing that music can bring. Jimmy Greene is a saxophonist, composer, and educator. His jazz quartet has performed in festivals and jazz venues worldwide, and he has appeared on 70 recordings. In 2012 Greene lost his daughter, Ana Grace, in the Sandy Hook Elementary school shooting. Greene is preparing a new album called Beautiful Life to honor his daughter, with proceeds going to the Ana Grace Project aimed at preventing violence, and The Artists Collective, which exposes children to the arts.
