Merchant & Trade, Charlotte’s Premier Rooftop, Opens For Outdoor Drinking And Dining With New Clean Promise

In the heart of Charlotte’s Uptown neighborhood, Merchant & Trade has opened its doors to welcome guests back to the 19th floor of Kimpton Tryon Park Hotel for social distanced dining, drinking and entertainment complete with panoramic park and city views.
The Merchant & Trade team has enhanced its already high levels of cleanliness and safety to pay special attention to seating layouts as well as food preparation and service. As such, bar and communal seating and service are suspended for the time being, and reservations are required.
Currently, the rooftop bar is open Wednesdays through Saturdays from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. The rooftop’s culinary and bar team have pared back the menu offerings to include favorite snacks and sandwiches like its Tuna Poke and Shrimp Po-Boy and a variety of housemade cocktails, draft beer and wine. The summer temps are prime for outdoor sipping with a Royal Pines, a cocktail of gin, dolin blanc, pineapple, rosemary and lemon, or a Wind Chill, with cazadores blanco, orange juice, morita chili, cinnamon and cucumber, in hand. And Merchant & Trade’s expansive outdoor space allows for safe and easy small group enjoyment.

It is important to note that all guests and employees must wear face coverings at all times, except while seated for eating and drinking, and group reservations are allowed but for groups up to ten people.
